Our story
A vector has direction.
Most toy stores sort by what a thing is. We sort by what it does.
The problem with buying toys is not selection. It is that a wall of two thousand products tells you nothing about which one your kid will still be playing with in March.
So we did the sorting differently. Every toy on this site carries two things that most listings leave out: a real age range, and a direction — a claim about where the toy actually takes a kid once the box is open and the packaging is in the recycling.
The six directions
- → Builds Structure, balance, cause and effect. These toys reward a kid for trying the thing that did not work last time.
- → Imagines Open-ended, no right answer. The toy is a prop and your kid writes the story around it.
- → Moves Big muscles, small muscles, and the ones in between. Made to be pushed, thrown, pedaled and chased.
- → Solves A problem with a satisfying click at the end of it. Patience, sequence, and the joy of finally getting it.
- → Nurtures Someone to take care of. Practice at gentleness, routine, and looking after something smaller than you.
- → Creates Something that did not exist before your kid sat down. Messy on purpose.
How we grade for age
Age ranges here are not marketing. They reflect what a kid can physically do with the toy — grip strength, attention span, whether a piece fits in a mouth. Anything with small parts says so in a yellow box on its own page, generated from the product data itself so it cannot be forgotten. Nothing in Ages 2–3 contains a small part at all.
No accounts. None.
There is no login on this site and there never will be. We do not collect personal information from children, we do not build profiles of your kid, and checkout is guest-only because that is genuinely all anybody needed. See the privacy page for the short version, which is short because there is not much to say.
60 days, played-with
Send it back opened, assembled, and obviously loved. A toy that did not land with your kid is not a mistake you should pay for. We would rather have the toy back than a customer who quietly stops opening our emails.
Every toy points somewhere.
